Goodbye 9-3 SE, Hello Viggen!!!

Hi everyone. This is "REDMILK". Many of you have read my ups, and mostly mechanical/electrical downs, of my 9-3 SE convertible. Well my lease has come to an end, and while I have been contemplating many convertible alternatives, my love/hate relationship with Saab has gotten the best of me and I have decided to go with a 02 Viggen Convertible.
I am looking forward to converting this into an ALL LOVE relationship and I am super excited about this new experience. I am also hoping my bad lemon luck with the 9-3 SE was an isolated incident, I'm sure it was, although Saab really has to get their customer service to Lexus standards.
I've already driven the vehicle and everything seemed to be quite legit. However I noticed the turbo needle doesn't go into the initial red like my 9-3 SE did, although it did feel quicker. Why is this?
I have a few of questions for everyone.
1- What should I look at when checking the Viggen in particular? Although the first runaround proved rather exceptional, now that Scott posted a check list I will be going back. Anything else I should look for in the Viggen. (Yes, the front airdam is pretty scratched up)
2- How much quicker is the Viggen compared to the 9-3 SE?
3- Besides a K&N filter, any other quick adjustments I can make to enchance performance?
4- Is the Viggen Rescue Kit really worth it?
Your feedback is certainly appreciated.
Thanks everyone.
