Hello.
I did similar choice couple weeks ago.
I swaped my 02 conv with 01 viggen conv. although I've had problem with the seller..

1. Check wheels.. those viggen wheels are just piece of alloy..
make sure put up the lift and turn wheel by hand and check it.
- I've put BBS 1 piece Rk wheels with wheels locks.. just Lovely grip.

2. Viggen rescue kit & rear sway bar & poly bushing..
_that's actually second thing I've putted in my "new" viggen.
after 01, saab putted TCS on 9-3s.. include viggen.
Viggen's TCS kicks in eventually when my dear 00 conv with manual trans
feels like torque sttering. but after putted those viggen rescue kit on
00 conv. I've noticed way better handling.
I've had no problems with stock viggen suspension.
Car is very stiff compare to 00 S conv & 02 SE conv & other NG900 conv
that I've had before. and I've prepared eibach system for myself but car is already low enough to clean up all the streets with front bumper,
I've decided upgrade stock suspension as much as possible.
So, I've put 22mm rear sway bar & front all three poly bushings..
What a great.. Even sudden lane change situation with top down about 120+ mph on proving ground, I've had enough confidence on viggen's handling.

I've used front suspension braces also, but I didn't feel anything diffrences. I believe viggen rescue kit + rear sway bar upgrade & poly bushings are must for most of NG900 & 9-3.

3. J&R sports filter. I've used K&N before but some reason. I like j&r better.

4. My car will goes into dealership again next week for release bearing
(a.k.a Throw out bearing) replacement under warranty.
it makes hard pitch noise on 2/3 clutch & some another noise with A/C.
(As soon as I release clutch during idle, clutch makes noise.. chala,, chala..)
It's better to throw out new clutch also. I'm put light weight flywheel as well.

5. I'll put new front rotor also. front owner of this vehicle appers to turn the rotor one time before and all grooves are gone. not only that after long hour drive, I feel little spongy on brake pedals..

6. Eventually, I smell gun power smell sometime I use engine brake.
My vehicle has about 44K right now. and I believe sometime before
warranty finishes up, I'll replace turbo charger as well.

7. As most of other viggen owner & saaab owner do, I have extra DI in trunk. Even privious owner replace first one at 31K under warranty. I'll feel much safer with brand new DI for in case.

8. I've put OEM hood protection stripe as well as 3M clear coat protection film underneath of the front bumper.
Even I already know I'll make scratches some time later, I'll try very much everything that I could.
