I should have jammed my dealer for an after-warranty free
fix. I have the impression there is quite a bit of lattitude
here and service managers get really, really lazy about going
to GM for every little thing.
I am under the impression some people are treated better than
others and some GM agents are cheaper than others. You have
links in this business chain. One weak link and the customer
gets to pay, every time.
I detest it when they deny Saab has this or that known problem
and I've been jammed on two widely-known problems* where I have
seen others say here they got warranty treatment, before AND
after expiry. Correct me if I am wrong.
* torquing - cheap
* heater box - a cost price deal - parts only/no labor cost after
warranty fix when this was the dealer's 3rd time on that flaw.
Or perhaps I am in a bad mood as I just forked out for a ball joint.
