I have to back up Stickman here. If you want something more sporty, fun and fast, the Viggen is it. It is a bit stiffer than the regular 9-3 but I don't think it's too bad at all. Going to a 225-45-17 or 235-40-17 tire will help and so will going to Koni's where you can soften it up a bit.
Buy it and drive it for a while and if it's close to what you want you can tweak it. Otherwise maybe a used 9-3ss vector maybe available by then. I agree with others that the springs are a bit soft compared to the shock valving.
