Mark,
I've read your posting about regreasing the idler pulley and have now what I think is a pulley about to freeze and snap the belt. This happened to me one year ago nearly to the date (I live in wisconsin, usa). The current situation is that yesterday I heard a whirring sound from under the hood and noticed that the heat was sort of not quite there. So, I've parked the car and am waiting for Monday to drive in to the dealer near here.
Question is how easy is it to regrease the pulley has you do? I used to be a bicycle mechanic and am somewhat handy, but do not have much experience with cars.
I would greatly appreciate any links or steps that I could take to maintain this item...of course, I am reallyd upset that something this frequent and obvious has not been solved by saab (or GM).
Thanks Mark. I enjoyed your post and am hopeful that I can learn to maintain this issue.
Jim
