If you're just interested in racing folks off the stoplight, the SE would be cheaper mostly because of the lower starting price. If you like to drive fast and explore the end of the speedo (haven't found it yet, "governed at 155" doesn't mean what you think, but bring your GPS), the Viggen is the clear choice.
Most folks forget about the importance of the lowered suspension, lower profile tires, front air dam, side skirts and rear wing. The Viggen was carefully crafted in a wind tunnel and will cruise at 135MPH without a care in the world. Crazy lane changes at 100 that throw you around, thank goodness for race-inspired bucket seats. So, to bring the SE up to the Viggen in ALL areas would easily surpass the sticker price difference. For just straight-line performance, maybe not...
PS Viggen advice: Don't mess around with cheap tires, get the best money can buy, run the pressure high, rotate them often, sell them at half tread depth. I got the Goodyear Eagle F1, they'll blow your mind, especially in a hard rain...
