That WOULD be worst case. Was in gear when it quit (it's a Viggen = manual) and it coasted after failure. Battery cable a starter was tightened under warranty . . . can't tell if it's come loose again, BUT that wouldn't cause engine failure. Battery is at 12V. DIC was replaced 25k ago, and there's no external indication of it failing (but I can't put my T5 DI on it to check, if car won't crank).
What's up with the IGN switch. Dealer was just behind lower console (ACC-
OnStar area) to fix loose wiring with the phone . . . coincidence??
Pressing question is now whether to tow it home, or to the dealer?????
