If the mechanism has been ok, then the p-brake pads will have almost zero wear. So if the height of the bake lever seems right with the new rotors, they probably do not need to be adjusted at all if you did not alter the adjuster already. So in many cases, the p-brake adjuster does not need to be touched when doing the rotors. On my 9-5, I had things apart to clean and grease the mechanism. I had the adjuster out and removed it without changing its adjustement and put it back without the adjustment being changed.
If the p-brake does not need any work, you can just put a bit of oil in the seam and neversieze over that. Neverseize also for the diameter that centers the wheel so the wheel does not get stuck as well.
Was it hard to get the 4 hub fasteners off?
I am glad that my ancient post is still helping folks. Sounds like the degree of difficulty for you was 3 beers and severe cursing! :)
