The only thing that has helped Viggen owners with their wheels, is the paint finish peeling on the spokes. At dealerships in the U.S. I have seen wheels replaced if the finish appears to have been "sandblasted" away on the leading edge of the spokes (the edge facing into the direction of normal rotation). Regardless of the wheel's condition in regards to bends, the wheels can be replaced due to the finish if it has peeled away from those leading edges described above. Of course the car has to be under some remaining bumper-to-bumper warranty from Saab.
