If you like it, keep it. If you have to put $11,500 into it and that matches what you see in ads for comparable cars, keep it. Those cars might need a new muffler and head retorque too. It has a new DI (good) and the retorque (cheap) may take care of the head gasket. Obviously anything from dealer or Saab goodwill will make you feel better about it. I don't think you are stoopid for keeping it. See what other opinions you get - my slant is I think these are good used cars for the money. I bought a 99 9-3 base two years ago and have gone through some minor aggravation here and there but I'm keeping mine. I use a shop as little as possible to help me feel like I can afford the car though. Those who buy new and use the dealer for all service will have different expectations, and will pay more.
