Vac hose to FPR came off

I had changed out the vacuum hose last night from the TB to the FPR as I didn't like how the one on there was looking. I replaced it with a silicon hose and it took ome effort to get it all the way on the TB nipple, but I was able to get it all the way on. Though the fit was real snug so didn't zip tie it.
Driving to work today, noticed a bit of a rough idle but drove it about 30 more miles to work. Stop and go then was able to put my foot into for the last 5-7 miles or so. Got back in the car arounf lunch time and took off for the highway. Noticed a real strange sputtering when on boost. Pulled over as I suspected a hose hhad come off. Sure enough, the one at the TB to the for.
I know things can happen fast when an engine goes lean. I rpobably ran the car for about 30 miles with it off. Any problems I can't see?
Once I put the hose bac on and ziptied it real good, the idle and boost returned to normal. A little scary thinking I could have done some serious damage woth out fuel pressure.
So the question is twofold. 1: think any damage could have occured?
2: how was the car getting fuel without a signal from the fpr? Would it have dumped too much or too little without the regualtor hooked up? A good detailed explanation will help me better understand this. But first the damage factor?
