I was hoping to take my convertible (96 SETC, 186K) to work tomorrow so I started it up to check it out. It started immediately, no problems, there, but the accelerator felt like it was in cement. Once pushed, it didn't rebound leaving the car idling high. It looks like the throttle plate is sticking, either from the spring or friction on the plate.
Any ideas on a permanent fix? I've used some WD-40 to try and unstick it. It helped some, but I think I will need to leave it for a while to let it penetrate. I didn't have this problem when it was the daily driver.
Thank you!
Ian
