Do you think thats it normal that Im having trouble getting red boost under these conditions.

100-105 F Degrees
4500 ft. Altitude
Air Conditioner = ON

Im mostly getting mid yellow boost and it really seems to be weather related. Im curious what the real cause is.

The hot air must be the cause, plus the A/C being on, but what is root of the problem?

Is the ECU doing the limiting? or is it a hardware limitation that is compounded by thin, hot air. Assuming the IC is getting heat soaked, would the ECU cut boost, or knock be more prevalent the hotter the air is? Or can the turbo not produce enough pressure? I was always under the assumption that the turbo could always overboost and that it had to be limited at all times to not damage the engine.
