The good old days of the 1994 NG 900....

For years everyone here has blasted the first year of production 1994 900 cars. I have one with 153k on it and all the gripes were right, but although there were many ailments with this car, there are known tried and true fixes for all of them. The consensus was that the 9-3 was a much better car...I bought a 2000 9-3 SE a couple of years ago, and have found it to lean more in turns, less steering feel, less comfortable seats with flimsy leather, lower quality stereo...but I can live with this...what I cant live with is;
Engine sludging issues no matter which oil is used or how often it is changed.
Oil leaks due to crankcase vent issues for which Saab has come up with at least 3 remedies for so far and still may not have figured it out.
High frequency of DI failures triple that of the old T5 version. Saab has no fix for this.
Sure the front suspension of my 94 SE is terminally hosed up, but I guess there are some things that are just best left alone. Especially when the 1100 "improvements" in 1999 gave us the 3 headaches above.
I think Saab should come clean on all of this. Instead I get an extended warranty I cannot use.
