My 1994 manual NG900 V6 SE has been a one driver, one owner car and has 114,500 on it. And I do drive the car when it’s driven. My car has been regularly dealer serviced and is the best and most fun car I've ever owned. I've read the posts that disparage the car and compare it unfavorably with the later years but my repair costs and frequency have been reasonable. I had a bad experience with an independent and the mechanic at the dealer now knows and understands my passion for it and maintains it appropriately.
The design of the interior and the responsiveness of the engine make me want to keep this car forever. The unique positioning of the window and roof hatch controls between the seats by the key just feels right to me. No unnecessary controls and everything sized so gloved fingers can work any button really reflect Scandinavian design.
Of course, it has some dings and wear on the exterior. And it does whine occasionally when the air is on and the outside temperature is very hot until the cabin cools. Also, the cassette deck in the radio is on the blink. These are small complaints indeed for such an excellent car.
As my father-in-law preaches, change the oil and have regularly scheduled maintenance done on time. It has worked for me so far.
