shox.com gave me wrong KONI springs!?

I ordered the package (adjustable yellow shocks and Koni stock height springs) from them beginning on July. They arrived ~10 days later.
The problem is that the springs were ~1.5" shorter than stock when put side-by-side. However, as you can guess, by that time, it was too late. I used the new springs anyways...
Some general observations:
Thanks to Dean (and some other comments from others) for their very good installation. I had it done at a general shop (my dad's), which had all the right tools, but the instructions made things clearer.
Some fasteners weren't right, but reusing the old parts were ok.
The rear shocks were shot (leaking oil) as I guessed from the way it drove.
84K miles driving 95% hwy. (MI and Ontario) Everything else (include front strut mount and bearings) were in very good shape.
The car is lower ~1" (no before/after measurements). It looks great, but I drive in michigan, and it really is pretty bad.. The average rough road isn't nearly as bad as I thought. Its slightly more noisy, but not too harsh. But the big bumps are worst (hit bump stop once already.. after 1 day). This is at the softest setting.
It looks really good lowered (black 02-SE, 17" EVO wheels 225/45 tires).
The handling is great. Definitely much much better than driving with bad rear shocks, but subjectively, I remember it being better than stock.. My upgrades include the 17" wheel and tires, SAS sway bar (defintely the 1st thing EVERY 9-3 driver should buy), MP steering brace and clamp and subframe brace.
