swedecar-- thanks again for all the help. Yeah, I thought we were in trouble with that shop when my husband, who's been around inside a number of saabs, said, "egr, what's that?" I said, "well the guy checked off that we had one, but I gues he didn't knw what he was looking at".
I will see if there are any codes to be read today even with the light off. Also will search the web for how to check the switching speed of the O2 sensor, b/c replacing the sensor is no problem for my husband, but checking it is something new. After all it is cheaper than a cat, and will get my beloved princess back on the road . . .
