Is it necessary to replace the rotors when replacing the brake pads? Dealer advised that wear-in issues usually made it impractical to just replace the pads, which are still 5 / 32nds. Replacing the rotors and pads is a $595 job for just the front set, so being a do it yourselfer, I am researching the process to see if I should just do the pads myself. Is it much different for the Viggen, versus older Saabs? I have done the pads on my 1993 9000CSE and older Saabs.
