Talk to a Saab dealer, whatever to find out what they would have sold it for and check out Edmunds and Kelly Blue Book. If those sources agree on a higher value, start arguing with your insurance company. My wife totalled out my last car, an Alfa 164S back in 2000 while I was off in Africa fixing an airplane (her Fiat X1/9 got hit the next day, at least she got a rental car for that one). My insurance started offering something under 10 grand for the Alfa. By the time she got done with them, the final settlement was over 12 grand. It can be done if you have some facts to back up your argument.
The 12 grand was a good part of my down payment on my 2000 9-5 Aero. Imola red is not quite Alfa red but it is just fine thank you.
Brooks,
