hydraulic clutch vs. cable

Recent post talked about hydraulic clutch.
I have a 97 900s 81000 mi. Recently replaced cable clutch for the third time.
Car is well maintained and runs great. My indie guy, who is honest, said there is a chance I might have to replace the clutch, or not, in the near future because of the miles.
Question, can I rely on my clutch for many more miles or should I switch to hydraulic.
Is cable clutch replacement( 3x in 5 years) sign of future clutch breakdown or just weak cables?
