A little black hose (an air hose I think)broke today on my 4 cylinder Turbo ( 1997 900 SE). It is located on the top side of the engine just rear of the letter "S" in the word SAAB on top of the engine. It was coming out of the back of the engine and then immediatley split into 2 hoses, one of which became an aluminum tube that went down near the front of the engine, and the other which broke, was a small thin black short hose that went down behind the engine. It had some type of small yellow capsule or filter on it which was seperated and when I touched it, it broke! All of this was under the black plastic sheild that clips on to cover a lot of componentry on top of the engine. I think it may be an air hose, or vacumn hose, etc. When I started the engine the little black hose is pushing air out from the engine through the hose, which is now broken.
Any idea what it may be? The reason I found it was I had a "check engine" light come on which was showing P0340 which is a Camshaft sensor problem, and also P1611 which I have no idea what it means. So....I started looking around the engine and found the broken hose which broke off when I touched it. I don't think it carries any fluid, just pushes air. ( My turbo and RPM guage are not working which is maybe due to the broken air hose)??
Sorry for the long mesage but ay ideas ?????
MANY MANY THANKS!!!!
