Well, that all depends on how far into this you want to go... The pistons are several times revised between these two engines, they're supposed to be a lot better now.. In fact, I dont know if it's an actual output change or just semantics, but I thinkthey say that the Aero motor is 250hp rather than 225hp.. So taking the whole thing may help a bit, and definately improves the strength of the car for tuneability. If your '99 engine is still good, I'm sure there's many people who would be psyched for any engine at all for their Viggen, because they explode in so many different ways.
The Turbo has the larger exhaust housing that people seem to steal from Aeros a lot.
