94-900S 2.3 non/turbo. Crank "no start" issue which shows up every once in while now for about 18 months happened today. It will always eventually start up. It might take cranking it every minute or two for 3-4 minutes then it starts or it may take cranking it every 5 or 10 minutes over a 1/2 hour. Today I a chance to "diagnose", I had my daughter crank over the engine while I put my ear down hard into the rear seat cusion and I did hear a buzzing sound during cranking but no start. I got under the car and wrapped on the fuel tank with a chunk of wood a couple times (not while cranking) got back in it and it fired up. Because it always eventually starts i don't know if the wrapping on the fuel tank actually helped or if it was just coincidence? Question: Is banging on the fuel tank only effective while cranking over the engine? Thats how I have heard it described in previous posts. Thanks...
