This may shock, or dismay, a few but...last year I bought a 2000 Viggen that came with a second set of wheels/tires for winter use. After market 7.5x16" wheels with worn out Bridgestones. Replaced the Bridgestones with Kelly made (I think) "Classic Radial SR P215/60 R16 M&S " tires. Except for difficulty in getting them balanced correctly and that they're almost to big in diametet (poor calculater skills on my part!), they worked fine last winter in several snows. In fact I found the car drives, overall, better with them...quieter, smoother ride and with less steering wheel fight/torque steer (summer tires are BFG Scorcher T/A's). Of course I didn't try autocrossing with them, or make a record run thru the Alps, or try sustained highway speeds any where near 100+mph.
