Yes, it was visible instantly. I drove down the alley and around the block. The outside of the caliper rubs where the seam of the wheel face is welded to the I.D. Not necessarily on the welds, but near that seam. It's not much, but it makes one heck of a noise when braking. I think it's only the LF caliper. It must have been a fat casting or something, as it seems no one else has this issue. I even considered grinding some of the caliper OD as I can see clearly the mark it left, but really don't care to do that. Oh well, bad luck with a "fat" caliper casting I guess? I know the brakes are not upgraded as I looked at them personally. Also, bigger brakes wouldn't fit under my 15" alloy wheels.
We plan to keep the car a long time, so I guess I'll just source another set of the OEM alloys on fleabay.
