Folks have used the oftermarket pumps with no complaints.
To recrimp the rad is must be removed.
Look for that paint on the WP pulley.
Belts and pulley are typically good for over 60K, concensus is to replace at 60. When doing routine maintenace, it is easy to pull the slack adjuster back , get the upper pulley free of the belt and spin it. If it has grease it will slow quickly. If if spins like a top, the grease is gone and it is then a time bomb. Feel for wobble too.
If the pump to adapter o-rings leak, the drip flow is down around the oil filter mount.
I had a GM vehicle with bad rad crimps. When the rad was removed, you could see that one row of crimps was not really properly done at all. But all of that was after it killed my cat.
