The vehicle has failed to start four times for me and twice for another driver - 3 times before the throttle body was replaced, and 3 times after. It did not go into limp home mode after this and the dealer didn't perform any reparis when I took it in for this problem.

The fault codes were the same the two times when it stalled on the highway, and the CEL "TCS off" lights were illuminated on restart. I understand that the CEL is just a general fault indicator - I've probably had another half dozen unrelated incidents where its come on in the 5 years I've owned the vehicle. While I can understand that the Throttle Control Body will eventually wear out, is it usual for it to do so after only 90,000km? A $1,000CAN repair bill less than a year/10,000km after the vehicle was off waranty does not dispose me towards buying another Saab.

My biggest concern here is that the dealer is fixing symptoms, not causes, and I will be stuck with an unreliable vehicle that I will be perpetually throwing money at. I was hoping to get an idea as to whether these incidents could be traced to a common source, which could be fixed (along with my confidence in the car).
