Nick,
Your instructions were exteremely helpful! I would not be able to do a thing without them.
I ordered the entire replacement kit, too; it is just taking a while to arrive...
My problem is that the failed bushing was causing the arm to rub and pull on the subframe and eventually created a crack in it. So I had to do something quickly -- until the kit arrives. Luckily, europarts orders arrive to me the next morning, and I was able to get the replacement bushings ver quickly.
I installed one, but there is a play in it which I cannot get rid of. It demonstrates itself as a clunk every time I pull off or come to a quick stop. I have been forced to think about it, and I believe it is the protruding edge of the sleeve that assures immobility.
I've checked today, and the opening in the subframe is much wider than the bolt, but it is a perfect size for that sleeve. I will have to order new sleeves. My old ones are warn off and do not protrude.
It seem like a weird contraption -- to use a flimsy sleeve to immobilize the bushing that has to withstand such forces that the breaking car puts on the suspension. Hopefully, the new design does not have this problem.
