Sounds like the fuel pump. I had a similar issue going to NC. The car was fine and then would stall out on the highway. After about twenty minutes it would start up again, and then the fuel pump fuse blew. I've also changed the CPS, but the symptoms were different. When the CPS went out at the 2005 SOC the car would rev up and down and then stall and then start up again.
