2002 9-3SE (purchased new in 2002 summer). I've tried no-name "white xenon" bulbs, SilverStars (supposily from OSRAM in europe, not the US version), Philips VisionsPlus, and now, GE MegaLight+.
My experience is that the SilverStars were in fact brighter. I did a test on the same night before and after installation and it was noticably brighter inside and outside the car. This compared to my OEM bulbs.
The problem was that it was the most expensive, and both died in less than 1 year of usage. (ok, over 20K miles, and a pretty harsh MI/Ontario winter).
The Philips Vision+ was slightly better than OEM, but those died shortly after 1 year as well.
I can't tell the difference between the OEM and the GE MegaLight. They last about the same as the Philips (~1 year / 25K miles).
The thing is, I am more confident with my OEM bulbs (yes, I put the originals back in... I believe they're made by GE as well.) with a new E-code lens. (The original lens were only slightly pitted).
Just wanted to add my experience to the stats. (only 1 pair of each bulbs tested....)
