I second Harv's suggestion. I did the over 100k miles AutoRX treatment and rinses (2 treatments, and two 'rinses') on my car (B234, 1995 900S, currently 197,000 miles) a while back, and I was amazed at what came out of the car. Especially since I had mostly used synthetic oils.!
I'm not affiliated with AutoRX in any way, but it is WELL WORTH IT, especially for the B234 motor.
Also, you should consider going to a larger 3/4-16 filter (e.g., Purolator L14670 or L20195, or the Pure One versions PL14670 or PL20195. Also, consider using the Ford Motorcraft from Walmart, FL400S or Supertech versions of the Purolator numbers (8 and 16, I believe).
Use the Supertechs for the AutoRX and 'rinse' phases, then use your normal filter, or one of the above. You can't beat the Purolators on sale (depending on where you live), and the Motorcraft FL1a and the FL400s are dynomite filters.
