I have a 2002 93 convertable. I am frustrated that the radio does not always return to the same on state at engine start up. I have to turn the radio on almost every time I start the car.
The radio has been replaced for other reasons and it still happens.
The service department claims that Saab blames the radio manufacturer and the manufacturer blames Saab. No body will take responsability for this problem.
Some experiments: I have noticed that if I turn on the radio before starting the car, it will stay on while the engine is cranking until the engine starts. When I release the key back to the on mode the radio shuts off.
It also seems to happen more frequently in cold weather and 1st startup of the day.
This is the only issue I've had with the car that has not been resolved.
Anybody else have this problem?? Any suggestions.
Thanks to all that have info.
