My '96 900 turbo 97,000 miles, is acting funny, and apperantly I'm not the only one. About 6 months ago my Check engine Lite came on. Ever since then I have noticed my fuel economy has been deteriorating. About 6 weeks ago it started to get really bad. The car runs very rich at idle, and it idles funny. It will idle around 1000rpm and then rev up to 2000 rpm and back down and back up again on its own. I have been getting about 15 miles per gallon since this started. There is no loss of peformance, it seems that its mostly just at idle. I replaced spark plugs with new NGK's (the old ones were black and fouled), put fuel injector cleaner through the motor, and cleaned the air filter. None of that worked so I took it to my mechanic just assuming it was an 02 sensor. Well they tested it, and the sensors are fine. The mechanic has no idea whats wrong, they are now doing a pin-test on the ECU to see of the ECU is bad. Does any one else know what is going on, I have been with out my car for over a week and am having with drawls, I just want it back to the way it was. Though in the mean time my dads 9-5 aero is treating me well. Please any one with any ideas HELP ME!
