Greetings all!
One of the hinges on the conv. top frame arms broke last Saturday (forward arm-passenger side). The frame assembly is now out of alignment and probably tripping the "Check Soft Top" error code which, in turn, is preventing the tonneau cover from opening. Does anyone know of a way to manually release and open the tonneau cover. I know where the manual release is for the top, but I can't find one for the tonneau. I have an auto specialist who can fix the top, but we can't the tonneau open to see the exact nature of the problem because of a "Check Soft Top" error code.
Any suggestions other than taking the car to the Saab dealer, having them charge me $120 just to look at it, plus whatever else to get the tonneau up? I can't believe any one would design a car without a manual release for the tonneau. That is just bad design, plain and simple.
Cheers!
jB
