Hesitation: automatic transmission or worn CVs?

I've been experiencing some minor hesitation on acceleration that seems to be coming from the AT or drivetrain: when accelerating from a standing idle (full stop), there is a short lag then a little "kick", as if there is slack somewhere in the drivetrain due to wear. This happens every day, hot or cold, wet or dry, at just about any full stop while driving. It's not annoying me too much yet, but I'm just wanting to know what it is and if it will need repair soon. The "lag...kick" is most noticeable on hard acceleration.
Though without the thrill of turbo, this car's been reliable as heck with ZERO unexpected maintenance costs. I've read that this model's AT is the same one used in the Camry, so expect it's barely reached half its service life by now. Was thinking about finally giving this Saab the 1994 front suspension upgrade treatment it needs and clearing up the other minor bugs it has, but want to make sure I won't have another major issue to contend with.
Anyone here know of this issue? Does it have anything to do with CV inner driver wear?
