Hey, thanks for the reply. I will definitely check the lines to the canister that you mention. The light comes on at idle in traffic, not at start-up. As far as the fuel gauge goes, the sender in new and working correctly. My SID is also working perfectly as it counts down the miles to empty. But for some unknown reason the fuel gauge is very, very irractic. Sometimes it shows all full, sometimes shows empty, and very rarely shows the correct level. The fualt will have to be in the circut of the dash instrument or some computer board that this info flows through. There is only one sending unit of course so there is only one signal for the car telling it about the fuel level. The SID is getting the information but the gauge is not.
