I bought a Saab 900 SE 2.0 turbo a couple of weeks ago. While driving I noticed the vehicle lacked power. The turbo indicator on the dashboard never left the "green" area, and only got into the "red" under full acceleration at highway speeds. After reading posts on this site I began to suspect the turbo BYPASS VALVE. I went to the parts store and bought a new BYPASS VALVE and new VACUUM LINE. Upon returning home I began the repairs and noticed the vacuum line was so brittle from heat that it had CRACKED. I installed the new vacuum line and took for a test drive...and WHOAH!. Returned the unused new BYPASS VALVE and Saab is tearin' up the asphalt now. Turbo indicator is jumping into middle "yellow" in low gears and screaming into "red" under hard acceleration. Hope this helps!
