I wouldn't worry about the suspension update at this age - how about seeing if there's bad steering vibration at highway speeds. If not, I wouldn't worry about it. I'd be more concerned with records indicating frequent oil changes.
He's probably referring to the the serpentine belt because these car do have a chain, like you said (make sure it isn't a V6!) If the pulleys haven't been serviced, I'd do that right away for peace of mind.
I'd check to see when the clutch cable was replaced - hopefully along with the new clutch. Check that the oil pressure light comes on before fully turning the ignition, and also check that the SRS and ABS lights are functioning while you're examining for working sensors.
It'll probably need some suspension work if there hasn't been any yet. Ball joints, tie rods ends, listen for wheel bearings or CV joints. None of these should be a deal breaker though and can be replaced over time.
