Hi, I have a 96 900 SET.
I have done a fair amount of work to the car in the past 2 weeks.
I replaced the plugs with NKG 6's gapped to .9 mm
Cleaned the IAC and TB,
Put on a new downpipe with high flow cat. and new pipe just after the cat.
Checked the vacuum hoses for leaks.
Put on a new fuel filter
a new K&N air filter
MY CEL has been on for a long time and my gas mileage sucks.
I was pulling codes for random misfires so I put on a new DIC
As soon as I did that, my CEL started flashing while driving. If I stop at a light the CEL stays on solid. Also my gas mileage improved a little, but still sucks (13.5 to 15 l/100KM) in the past I have averaged 9 L/100KM.
I have ordered a new front O2 sensor. I replaced the rear one about a year ago. The battery and Alt were replaced 4 months ago.
Any thing I may be missing? I have read that the Flashing CEL indicates danger to the Cat.
Thanks for any suggestions.
