If not's not wearing the brakes or creating too much drag, I'd as soon not fuss with it. What do you know about e-brakes freezing to the drum? Last winter, when it was wet and cold and I'd park on a hill, the thing would freeze on so hard I would literally have to floor it and drag the rear wheels along. I sprayed displacer in there, and that helped a little, but I worry that it'll be undrivable some time I really need the car. Is there a spring on the e-brake that makes it retract? I would lower the lever in the cabin and just nothing would happen. It, of course, would thaw when it got warmer and is fine in the warmer months.
