Don't know if you have a T5 or T7, but I believe that the T7 is probably more efficient. So, the 30+ MPG club may have the newer engine management system.
I can't speak for others but my results have been:
28.9 on a trip last weekend from Kentucky to Atlanta.
ACC blasting 80 MPH on the highway and 90+ degrees.
City mileage with my wife's commute downtown (mostly stop and not a lot of go) is usually around 22-24 also with the ACC blasting.
The car is in pretty good shape I do the following:
- 5k interval Mobil1 0-40w changes and Techron concentrate
- Have a K&N air filter
- Use 93-octane gas
- Keep tire pressure at 40F 38R
- The car is a 5 speed.
So, from my experience you may not be too far off. As NH Viggen said, the drop may be due to blended fuel.
Best regards,
Don
