I found them to be quite poor in the snow. Last winter, my wheels slipping was really bad, to the point of being annoying. The Pirelli's were less than a year old then (less than 6,000 miles). I switched from them to Blizzak (pure winter-only tire), and all my problems disappeared immediately. The winter tires I had before the Pirelli's were Nordfrost.
Those also never gave me any such trouble in the snow at all. From now on, I've learned to stay away from those "all-season" varieties.
