1999 Saab 93 Radio & CD problems

I have two problems with my radio.
1) Last Fall my radio became possessed... one day it went to static, would not respond to the controls including turned off the car and removing the key. Pulling and replacing the fuse reset it, and it would work properly… for a time. But it happened again and again. After a while it stopped going to static but would go dead or go silent for a split second and continuing playing, and be unresponsive to the controls. Now for some reason it seems to work for long very long stretches... the much warmer summer vs. winter temperatures could be a factor. I pulled the radio and the connections in the back look good. Anyone have a clue what is going on?
2) A CD ejected into the cup holder, (my wife accidentally did it, but she says it was my fault because I left an empty cup it the holder for a couple of days), and now one is stuck in the player... won't play or be recognized as there, and won't eject. Anyone know of an easy way of getting it out besides tearing the radio apart?
Regards,
Bruce
