New Clutch Causing Problems

Left my car at a saab shop to have a rear main seal fixed, and Vig Clutch installed into my '96 900set. Problems arose.
I took my car home for the weekend. At the shop the forward gears (1st/3rd/5th) go in fully but the rear gears (2nd/4th/R) don't seem to want to sit back as far as they did/could. Shifting is fairly hard, and the pedal has to literally be seated on the floor to allow any shifting. On the way home I suddenly found myself not being able to shift into nearly any gear. At most stop lights I had to stop the car, shift into 1st, start and take off. Maybe warming up caused this? Gears are grinding.
I obviously don't want to pay another $500 to have the tranny dropped again to either have a stock clutch put in, or to have the hydrolic conversion installed. Are there any NG900 owners on this board who have put in the viggen clutch in while remaining with the cable, have you run into similar problems?
The mechanic and I are going to see if we can work something on monday, one idea was to use the manually adjusting cable to lengthen the throw of the pedal and relieve stress.
To top this off, I developed a power steering fluid leak I need to find a replacement hose.
