Usually after installing a new clutch cable, you have to give the adjuster spring a few tugs so it will adjust itself properly. That should fix your clutch on the floor problem. If you didn't have a new cable installed, then you really need to. As for the shifting problem, put the car into 4th gear and make sure that a small drill bit or screwdriver will drop smoothly into the alignment holes underneath the shift boot and on the transmission (where the little black plug is on top), but don't let anything fall into the transmission hole. If they don't, then you need to loosen the pinch bolt on the shift linkage and move it until the alignment holes are lined up.
