Still Stalling... Posted by Jake [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I posted a while back on an issue with random stalling. I wrote...
1995 900 Turbo standard trans. My car is stalling at random while driving, and at idle. I don't lose anything electrical when it stalls. I find that I have to pull over to the side of the road and wait a few seconds before it will start again. If I try to start it right away it will just keep cranking and the car will not start. The DI cassette was replaced about 20k ago, I just replaced the fuel purge valve thinking that that may be an issue, fuel pump and filter done about 5k ago...no leaks. The next item on my list to replace is the ignition switch, but I would think that I would lose all things electrical if that were the issue.
I have yet to replace the ignition switch since I really don't think that is the problem. I did however replace the CPS and I cleaned out/oiled the IAC valve twice.
The car is still stalling and I am getting desperate. I am also having problems with boost pressure fluctuating between 10 and 20psi(stage 4 ECU, probably unrelated to my problems with stalling). The car will stall at idle and also at speed, but never when the boost is up. Also, and this may be normal, when the car is at idle in the driveway and I give it a quick burst of gas the car hesitates for a moment and then rev's up. If I continue to do this I can usually get it to stall out.
Any input would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks,
Jake
