Test possible frozen rear brake caliper?

Last weekend I changed the rotors and pads on my '99 convertible. I noticed that the right rear pads were worn unevenly, the inboard pad looked nearly new (thickness wise) and the outboard was quite worn down. I pulled the pads (inboard seemed a bit stuck) and replaced, cleaned and lubed all parts that needed replacing, cleaning or lubrication. I am tempted to replace the caliper but would like to make sure that it is a frozen piston and not just a pad that may have been bound up by rust, etc. How do I go about this test?
Thanks in advance.
