the jury is still out on how the OEM radio will deal with the 2 ohm load of the new kappa speakers. Any amp can be hooked up to .5 or 16 ohm speakers it's just that how long the radio lasts is the problem. The higher the number the easier it is for the amp to push the speakers & also the less power it develops.
With aftermarket amps they are almost always built to take a 2 ohm load however I really have no clue what the OEM radio can take. I have a few old school Adcom car audio amps which are stable below .5 ohms :)
Sorry I not any more help.... I really do not know the outcome however on my viggen I was going to go with the new kappa stuff because to me it's the best out there & worth a try. I then decided to throw my aftermarket stuff in there
