in regards to question 2-

In most cases if your idle is affected by turning on the AC, you have a vacuum leak somewhere before the intake manifold. There are numerous ways to figure out where the leak is (ranging from tracing the pipes with an UNLIT torch that is gassing while listening for engine revving, To things such as a leak finding machine that costs $2k) but I don't know the best or most accurate.

The buzzing sound, from what I understand, is typically made by the interior-temperature-sensor Fan that is behind that little grill next to your passenger seat heater button (or traction control button if you have auto with TCS) and it will buzz even after you shut the car off if you had the ACC on during the end of the trip. The solution is to go into the console from the passenger side (there are directions on how to do that somewhere on the site) and take out the fan (carefully, its very fragile) and clean it. Most people report success in solving the problem with this method, from what I can tell.

Winter -
I'm from MA so I know how the New England winters go. If it gets too cold, you could buy an engine heater like they have in Canada or colder states. Otherwise just maintain the vehicle propperly would be my advice.

As for the smoke... Some tired catalytic converters take a bit of heating to get into working manner... SAABs typically don't (I think SAAB was even one of the first companies to alleviate the problem with fancy technology) but I guess it's still possible.

If it stops once the engine is lubricated I'd say maybe a gasket or seal somewhere has a tiny hole that gets covered in oil and stops letting air in. If I remember correctly, white smoke means too much fuel, brown means burning oil or too much air? I'm not totally confident in my answer but something to look into perhaps.

Don't know much about suspension, sorry!

Good luck.
