The 9-5 Aeros are way more car than any 9-3SS until this years V6, but a 9-5 is very similar in look and feel to an OG9-3 like your '99. So do you want somethin' new are just better and badder?
'03 9-3SS' were recently surveyed by Road & Track and considered average for reliability and problems. For today's cars average ain't so hot, but tolerable. 9-5's have very, very good reliability ratings in consumer pubs.
It's not that he sticks are bad, the linkage is much improved over the 9-5 or OG9-3 linkage although it has a cable linkage feel, but the autos are very, very nice indeed with a really decent slap shifter that makes manual shifting intuitive and do-able, doesn't really take anyhting away from the car unlike C900 and 9000 autos. The 9-5 paddles suck IMHO, too difficult to engage, however the 9-5s are have a sport button and the 9-3SS' don't, the 9-3SS "learns" the sport mode and I prefer to press the sport button and teach it right away.
Yes 210hp in only the Arc and Vector/Aero, and all availible in autos or sticks.
